Following eight years in the U.S. Navy and equipped with an engineering know-how, George joined Raytheon Co. in Boston, MA as a design engineer for the En-Route Air Traffic Control Program under contract to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). After managing several programs to install en-route systems and train FAA personnel on the use of the systems, he entered the medical device industry, initially with Litton Medical Systems and later with Abbott Laboratories. It was with Abbott Laboratories that George began his international business career.
George spent most of his career in senior level positions (Director, General Manager, Vice President, President & CEO) for reputable domestic and international medical device companies such as: Abbott Laboratories, Advanced Technology Labs - ATL, Dornier Medical Inc., Lunar Corporation, United Medical Systems - UMS and Schaerer Mayfield USA. He has a successful record for managing sales, marketing, technical service and developing distribution networks of various medical devices, (ultrasound, orthopedic, urology devices and operating tables). During his career, George lived and worked in Asia, Europe, Latin America and Canada which has given him a broad understanding of international business.
With his expertise, networking capabilities and medical device knowledge throughout the world, George started Geomed LLC to provide consulting services to medical device businesses.
